Role Play

The Role-Play aims to train the human behaviour beginning with an interaction simulation that characterizes a given structure, relationship or social group situation, through the distribution among the trainees of a set of very well-defined and related to each other statuses.

The approach for preparing and using the Role-Play method:

  • identifying the inter-human situation for which the role-play simulation is best suited;
  • situation modelling and scenario design;
  • selecting partners and their training on the specific requirements of the role-play;
  • individual learning by each "actor" by studying the role sheet;
  • the actual role-playing
  • discussion of the results with all participants

Further approaches can include:

  • inviting external observers
  • the evaluation of results and based on these, setting out intentions for the future.
