The Role-Play aims to train the human behaviour beginning with an interaction simulation that characterizes a given structure, relationship or social group situation, through the distribution among the trainees of a set of very well-defined and related to each other statuses.
The approach for preparing and using the Role-Play method:
- identifying the inter-human situation for which the role-play simulation is best suited;
- situation modelling and scenario design;
- selecting partners and their training on the specific requirements of the role-play;
- individual learning by each "actor" by studying the role sheet;
- the actual role-playing
- discussion of the results with all participants
Further approaches can include:
- inviting external observers
- the evaluation of results and based on these, setting out intentions for the future.
