Frontal

Frontal means that the teacher is working with the whole class at once and that the teacher is instructing the class. It often refers to a lesson held in the manner of a lecture, possibly including discussion directed by the teacher.

 

Advantages:

  • easy form for the teacher
  • possible with big groups

Disadvantages:

  • no social or intercultural interaction
  • more difficult to motivate learners
